In May 2017 correspondence was posted to all growers advising membership levy for the 2017 season would be increased by $0.05 from $0.27 to $0.32 per tonne of sugar cane, capped at 30,000 tonnes.
Due to a system error it was discovered that cane pays as of 22nd June, 29th June and 6th July had grower levies of $0.27 per tonne deducted from proceeds.
This matter has been rectified in subsequent cane payments.
On 19th July Wilmar has made an adjustment to KCGOL levy of $0.05 per tonne for levy’s paid during the above 3 week period. RCTI issued shows rate as $0.32, however tonnage and actual amount represents this $0.05 adjustment.
