ATTENTION KALAMIA MEMBERS,

We have been alerted by a KCGO member that growers can object to the increase in size and name of the electoral boundary – they are going to change the name not Burdekin but Mc Master.

Labour politicians have changed our boundaries a few times as they want to be able to control the elections their way.  If growers would like to object to these boundary changes and do not think this should happen, the deadline is Tuesday, 27^th March 2017 to issue your objection.

Hello all Brigade First Officers, Secretaries, Fire Wardens and Deputy Fire Wardens of the Burdekin Shire.

 Rural Fire Service Queensland,  Townsville Area, will be holding an forum for all  Primary Producers Brigades, Rural Brigades and Fire Wardens/Deputy Fire Wardens of the Shire at 2-00pm Wednesday 15th March 2017.

This will be held at the Burdekin SES Headquarters, 4 McCathie Street Ayr QLD 4807

This forum is designed to bring together all Officers/Secretaries and Fire Wardens/Deputy Fire Wardens as well as Cane Growers groups to discuss issues affecting Brigades and Fire Wardens of the Shire.
