SRA Regional Adoption Workshop
SRA HOLDING REGIONAL ADOPTION WORKSHOP NEXT WEEK
Members are invited to attend SRA workshop hosted by Anthony Curro, Regional Co-ordinator Burdekin next Tuesday.
This will be grower focused event aimed at explaining
• The adoption strategy at an industry level.
• How the Burdekin fits in and purpose of the RAAC.
• Workshop SRA’s Key Focus Area’s to identify regional gaps.
• Information collated will feed into the ‘Regional Adoption Plan’ for the Burdekin.
This is your chance to have a say and provide input to adoption strategies for the Burdekin region.
I would encourage members to attend.

Energy prices continue to soar however the need for a source of energy is essential given irrigation requirements for the growing of sugar cane in the Burdekin region. Solar is a means to reducing the cost of energy consumption. Interested in gaining a better understanding of the benefits of utilising solar in order to improve farm viability? KCGO has arranged for a presentation by Horan & Bird to explain how solar can be utilised in farming operations, detail are in the attached flyer. Water Quality Improvement Regional Forum
WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT REGIONAL FORUM
Dept of Agriculture and Fisheries will be hosting a regional forum to be held in Townsville at Rydges Southbank on 12th and 13th November to share information and options for treatment systems for water quality improvement and how these systems can be utilised to achieve sediment, nutrient and pesticide reductions.
Any members interested in attending, please refer attached agenda for further information.
