BURDEKIN MILLS START DATES

Kalagro

• The 2019 crop estimate for the Burdekin is 8.24 million tonnes.
• Farm Maps and individual estimates are available on GrowerWeb.
• Crushing is currently scheduled to commence at Inkerman, Kalamia and Pioneer mills on Tuesday 4 June, and at Invicta Mill on Tuesday 11 June.
• A meeting with grower representatives will be held by early May to confirm start dates.

Updated itinerary has now been provided by Wilmar for members information.

Cost to members who are interested in participating in tour remains at $2000. However please be aware domestic flights from/to Townsville displayed in itinerary are to be met by members or you may wish to take alternate flights that are more suitable.

Wilmar Invitation – Study Trip to Thailand

WILMAR INVITATION – STUDY TRIP TO THAILAND

Wilmar has extended an invitation for 3 members of KCGO to participate in the above study trip, tentatively to be undertaken at the end of March. Draft itinerary is attached for members information. Participation is limited to 1 person per membership. Anyone who is interested in travelling on this tour needs to contact this office by 4.30pm this Friday, 8th March 2019. Due to timeframe members will need to already have a current passport.

Should more than 3 members show interest, a draw will be undertaken with names selected randomly. Participant’s details will then be passed onto Wilmar.
