AGRIBUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL FISHING EMPLOYERS – SEASONAL STAFF

AGRIBUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL FISHING EMPLOYERS

For any members that employ seasonal staff please be aware that the Queensland Government has introduced a new framework that will enable the agriculture and commercial fishing sectors to access a seasonal workforce, while still meeting their COVID-19 public health obligations. If you are employing workers from outside the region ie. that do not work near their homes and residing in their permanent residence, you need to be conversant of state government requirements.

Quick reference guide and FAQ’s are provided. Additional information on these changes are available online for businesses, including templates for the health management plans at https://www.business.qld.gov.au/industries/farms-fishing-forestry/agriculture/coronavirus-support/seasonal-workers-covid19/
